Posted by Taylor on August 26th, 2010 My first foray in the world of video editing taught me a very valuable lesson in dealing with computers. I found out that despite being able to do all these incredible tasks at breakneck speeds, they are prone to errors that are really costly to rectify, which in my case almost got me sued for not delivering my work on time.
Although I’ve been using the computer for quite some time and is familiar with its inherent faults, I still got stung when I’ve foregone using HP Storage for all my early work in the video editing business. My system crashed just as I was about to wrap up the project I was working on and I had no back up! I did have a copy but it was stored in the same hard drive that crashed. Good thing I was able to buy extra time from my client who almost fainted when I told her what happened.
From then on I’ve learned my lesson and bought a used HP SAN online and stored a back up of all my files. It proved a worthy investment when I began to hire other video editors and we had to share files regularly.
Posted by Taylor on August 13th, 2010 When we started to open an Internet Shop, we decided to get business computer server Raleigh to monitor our workstations and handle our shop’s operations. I am the one that uses the computer server and makes sure that all workstations are working properly. I also hired a technician that is familiar with networking solutions in Raleigh. Together we manage all the maintenance and repairs of our PC units.
We occasionally encounter problems like pc viruses and damaged hard drives and even PC parts that start to show problems (hardware). We also handle PC repairs and we tend to have a lot of customers every week. People always have problems when it comes to their PC’s and you will be surprised on the different problems we encounter. Our customers on our internet shop enjoy their time in using our units. We made sure to only get the fastest and most reliable units for our customers and we are happy with the results. In time, we needed to expand to accommodate more customers that flock out computer shop. Great things start from small beginnings indeed.
Posted by Taylor on June 10th, 2010 I have been operating financial firm for six years and with a vast array of clientele under our name. Our firm offers the best financial solutions for some of the biggest company in the country. Though a medium type of firm, our data system operates on a very large computer networks. Problem is, sometimes our data were very hard to retrieve and that the system usually bogs down. And because it’s still an old system that we are using, it can’t be help that sometimes our systems acquires some virus infection making it dangerous for our files to transfer from one computer to the other.
Luckily my new IT officer suggested to me about replacing our old system with a new HP SAN system. But I told him that replacing the entire storage with those HP Storage systems requires a very large amount and that it might be too expensive for the company but he told me that there is a site that sells refurbished but in excellent condition products and that it is way cheaper than buying a new one. I was in doubt but I said that okay we’ll give it a try.
After we ordered those devices and after installing it, my employees rejoices because of the easier way they now retrieve those files and that it is now safe to transfer several files from one computer to another because it is now virus free and with latest anti-virus guard.
Posted by Taylor on June 9th, 2010 I usually travel in and out of the country for almost half of the year. I wanted to set-up a secured online server where I could place all my documents so that I would not have to lug them around every time I was out of my house. I could probably invest in one IBM xSeries Servers that I could remain online always and just access that with a secure account over the Internet.
The setup looked viable however the costs of putting it up was not. Brand new ones were very expensive and way out of my budget. A friend of mine suggested that I try used xSeries servers that could be bought from online sellers. He even gave me one site to go to so that I would be able to check the prices.
I was glad that I found this site because I was able to purchase the equipment that I needed. Now, I don’t have to bring along lots of documents whenever I travel. All I have to do is to access my server at home which is online all the time. Without them, I would not be able to enjoy the feeling of being truly mobile.
Posted by Taylor on June 7th, 2010 My mom and I wanted to buy new servers. We really need them ASAP. Luckily my aunt said that I should visit this IBM pSeries server website where I could pick from a wide range of servers. After a couple of minutes I was proven correct. The website made me come across so many options that I didn’t know what to buy. All of them were in good shape. Also, all of them came with guarantees. This way, you cannot be a victim anymore of any hoax. You would have a guarantee that if one product was not working, you could have it replaced immediately and you won’t even have to pay such a large amount anymore. This Used pSeries Servers website has answered my prayers.
As for the maintenance of your server, you can have extended maintenance programs that can support the product you have purchased. Two example of these maintenance programs are the OEM maintenance and the Third Party maintenance. All are very trustworthy to use.
It is such good news that this is so accessible, convenient and complete. I know that I could not come across such an outstanding website like this that easy. That’s why I will be going to this website often!
Posted by Taylor on June 3rd, 2010 My church upholds not just spirituality cleanliness but also keeping Mother Earth clean and green. We have different clubs and organizations. One of which is the Youth Organization. I am proud to say that I am the President of the said organization. Each year we are given a project and it is up to us on how to raise the funds necessary to materialize whatever project our organization decides to have. This year, we decided to build a recreation area with basketball court, volleyball court and possibly all the needed sport equipment.
We did our research on how to raise the funds. We visited libraries for resources, interviewed a lot of people and surfed through the net. Almost all of the fund raising ways we found were so common people might not buy the idea anymore. Then out of the blue, we came across the site where they resell used IBM equipment and devices. We immediately contacted the company and were given the information that they would assist us in reselling used and refurbished IT assets. No need for us to worry about assessing the value since they are going to do it for us.
For the entire weekend, we advertised ourselves in the church and in the community. We asked our church members and their friends to donate their used computers and if possible their used IBM servers. After all, the fund is used to build a recreation center where youth can have clean fun.
We are still continually doing the reselling and this company never tires out helping us around. We are assured that after the year ends, youths in my neighborhood will have a state-of-the-art recreation center.
Posted by Taylor on January 5th, 2010 The last thing that we need this week is for one of the poweredge servers to go down, and it seems like that is going to be inevitable. The oldest one has been going offline by itself all day and we have to keep resetting it. I think that it is only a matter of time before this office comes to a complete halt.
I have tried to call the dell repair man that has fixed it before but he is not answering his phone. I think that since it is so close to the holidays, he may have taken a vacation or something since he has always been easy to reach before.
If the poweredge servers do go down before the end of the workday, then I am planning on just sending everyone home early for Christmas break. It will probably upset some of my workers who cannot afford to lose and hours of pay during this time. It is possible that we may just have a miracle and the servers will stay up and running for the rest of the day and then I can possibly find a different dell repair service to come in before we get back up and running after the holidays.
Posted by Taylor on January 4th, 2010 I wanted to be able to order all the new fancy scanning cash registers like everyone else had but I just knew that I could not afford it. I had owned my store for twenty years and had upgraded the cashier lanes only once. I had to do it when people started using debit and credit cards all the time but now with the touchable screens and the new fancy credit card readers, I was behind the times.
I knew that if I could find a way to upgrade, I would so when my son told me that there was a company online that sold used pos equipment at about a seventy percent savings to new equipment. I figured that it was worth a look but did not think that I could afford it. I was shocked when I started seeing the used point of sale equipment prices and the quality of it all.
I found that I could actually afford to purchase some new systems and move into the twenty first century with my store. I know that all my employees and my customers will be impressed with the new system. They all might have to be patient with learning the new system from the used point of sale equipment company but I will take care of that. I was just happy that I finally found an affordable company like the used pos equipment one.
