The company that I worked for put out an email, that let everyone know that any idea or suggestion that we could come up with to save money would be considered. Then, if your idea was chosen, you would be given one extra vacation day. I knew that we were spending too much money on business checks and I had recently discovered a new more affordable place to get my own personal checks.

I wrote down the name of the personal checks company that I had used and also mentioned that they sell business checks at a much lower price than what we currently are paying. I heard back within about two days, that my idea was accepted and the company would be giving me an extra day of vacation this year for it.
