I was put on a committee for a local charity group that I am involved in. My committee would be in charge of ordering and setting up the decorations. I was not looking forward to this because I am not a very creative person. We all sat down together to brainstorm some ideas. We all thought that because it was an evening event that was taking place outside, we should incorporate some 6 inch glow sticks into the flower arrangements.

I thought that if we incorporated the 6 inch glow sticks then we would have to have something for the guest that also glowed because I knew that people might very well pick them out and wave them around. I thought that glow bangles would work nicely. I found a company that sold both of them and had them shipped to my house. I made sure to inspect everything to make sure they all would work.

The night of the fundraiser, I think that I must have gotten at least a hundred compliments on the way the decorations and party favors had turned out. All of the guests were wearing their glow bangles and having a great time. When the lights were lowered, the 6 inch glow sticks that were placed in the flower arrangements made the whole room light up.

I had a great time helping to plan the event and am very proud of the way everything turned out.
