When my uncle offered me a job to work for his computer company, I said sure because I needed a job at the time. I had no idea what my job would be but then on my first day, I found out that I would be in the technical support office. That meant that every time someone called in and had an issue with a piece of equipment they had bought through us, I had to help them fix it. I started the first day by looking over the entire inventory list of items we sold. I knew what a few things were but needed help with others. I had to look up what HDMI cable was and discovered that it came in various sizes and that we sold them with equalizers and repeaters. I then looked up what cat 6 products we offered and found so many that I had a hard time keeping them all straight. My first phone call with a client came the third day I was there and they were having trouble with their networking system and we came to the conclusion that they needed a longer HDMI cable. My second client was just wondering about different cat 6 products we offered and wanted pricing. It was easy enough, I am glad I took the job.
