The second device in the list is serial USB adapter. You must be having some device that connects through serial port. But nowadays the modern computers are not equipped with serial port interface. Now you can use this serial adapter to connect to your computer’s USB port and connect the serial interface device to the adapter.

The last device is also on the footprints of serial adapter but it is for parallel port. You can connect the parallel port device to the computer’s USB port the same way you connected serial port but this time by using USB parallel adapter.
